I know, for a “minimalist” this is a lot of stuff to carry all the time. However, this is where the “mom” part comes in. The other part you’re seeing? Former Girl Scout. I like to consider my purse as my bag of preparedness. I have found that the items I carry may not be used frequently, but are extremely necessary and handy at times. Scrapes at the parks. Unknown allergies. Sticky foods. Unexpected childless expeditions. I find being prepared saves me money in the long run since I don’t have to just run out for these items when needed. Finally, I keep a couple things in my bag of essentials for catastrophic events, like the mirror and lighter. In the very off chance we find ourselves in a situation where we are stranded, these two items are must haves. I’ve even found them helpful in other circumstances too, like when a friend needed to check her teeth after dinner or a candle needed a little spark. Anyhow, I hope you enjoyed the tour of my bag within a bag within a bag.
A little about Megyn:
I’m a vivacious, young mommi with an inherent need for minimalism. I share recipes, de-cluttering tips, and self-imposed challenges. But mainly? Minimalist Mommi (http://minimalistmommi.
