Declutter a room in 30 minutes

Set up 3 boxes: Donate, Toss, Wrong Place: 1 minute

Put them all together, side by side in one central area.

Go through and pick up the major pieces of clutter: 10 minutes

Clean RoomGo through a room, scan for things out of place, and toss them into the 3 boxes.

That includes papers, CDs, DVDs, kid’s toys, etc. Anything and everything.

I am not talking about anything that is cluttered and inside drawers.

Just only the clutter you can see and touch right away.

Go through the boxes: 20 minutes

“Donate” box stays where it is, and you can keep adding to it, and clean it out every month.

“Toss” box, has items to toss into the garbage or to recycle.

“Wrong place” box should be held in your arms as you take it around the house, taking out everything you put in there, and putting everything back where it belongs.

Dust off your hands and survey your now clean room.
