I actually like this. Now granted, I don’t think 96 sq ft would work for me, but I definitely would re-evaluate 400-500 sq ft (although I guess it wouldn’t be a family home – then again, that doesn’t matter right now).
I love this guy, and have seen him before on HGTV. I actually think I could do it, if it was just me. Right now my husband and I spend a fair amount of time in a 300 square foot place and it truly has everything we need. It’s not our full time house, but my dream is to someday downsize permanently. In addition to being good for the environment, there’s so much freedom that comes with living small. Patty @ Why Not Start Now?´s last blog ..Dancing Around the Living Room
@E: I think a 1000 square feet would be a good size for a family with 2-3 kids. That’s my feeling, but it also depends on the layout. Some big houses seem small with the layout they built in.
An open loft space with one level might be best.
@Patty: Oh! I don’t get TV, I wish I did now so I could see other small home owners.
We’re in a 600 square foot studio full-time and it feels spacious, cosy and just right. Not too much space so it feels cold, and not too little so it feels cramped
With 2-3 kids, I’m thinking another bedroom or two would do the trick.
FAR OUT! That’s fantasitc! Thanks for visiting Individual Chic. We’ll be moving to a new house soon, so your blog has come along just at the right moment. Icy @ Individual Chic´s last blog ..NaNoWriMo Update Week 1
