Lindy of Minting Nickels wrote this post about 3 tools to make busy lives better, and it reminded me of something we do.
We keep a blue recycling box in the car, kind of like this one:
Like Lindy, we use it to keep everything that we need to tote back and forth into the house, but her idea of keeping a tub for the car in the house that everyone in the family throws things they need inside of it for the next day is a smart idea.
You won’t forget all of the little things you and your family will need if you just carry that tub around.
For us, we actually use the box to hold super heavy groceries that might move around a lot (bags of milk for instance).
Then we went a step farther and bought one of those folding dollies where you can strap in that blue box, something like this:
This is awesome because I’m a weakling and I’d rather roll things than carry it.
Oh the power of the wheel!
This is also great for us apartment/hotel dwellers who don’t have a home and quick steps up from the car to the front door.
We can also use it to roll bulk items like huge bags of rice, cases of cans of tomatoes, and so on.
