A little about Tammy Strobel

I’m Tammy Strobel, author of Simply Car-free and Smalltopia.

I created RowdyKittens primarily to keep friends and family members updated on my life. Surprisingly, Rowdy Kittens has turned into an amazing online community. I’m honored to be writing for such kick ass readers and believe simple living has the potential to change people’s lives for the better.

What inspired the blog name? I started this blog about three years ago and wanted to go with a blog name that was memorable, represented my personality, and would make my readers smile. There is so much bad news in the world and I wanted a fun blog name to combat all the negativity.

With that in mind, I was talking with a few co-workers about how I wanted to start a blog but I didn’t know what to name it. One of my co-workers shouted “Rowdy” and then another said “Kittens.” Thus, Rowdy Kittens was born.

My writing for Rowdy Kittens focuses on two areas: life and work. More specifically, I write about downsizing, entrepreneurship, and living without a car. Every Monday and Wednesday I write about these topics. And once in a while I interview very awesome people.

On Friday, I post a Simple Living News Update that links to some of the best article on the web! If you’re new to my writing, take a peek at some popular posts.

About everydayminimalist

I'm a 20-something year old girl who lived out of a single suitcase in 2007, and now I'm living with less, but only with the best. You don't have to get rid of everything to become a minimalist! Minimalism can help simplify and organize your life, career, & physical surroundings. You can read more about me as a minimalist.
