A little about Ryan Nicodemus
My name is Ryan and I lead people.
I write for the blog The Minimalists with Joshua Milburn, whose wallet was featured last week.
I was born in 1981 in Knoxville, Tennessee. My family moved around a lot when I was young, but we eventually ended up in Ohio (by way of upstate New York) when I was eight.
Three states in 8 years.
I could go on, but you probably don’t care. I have many hobbies, including volleyball, snowboarding, wake boarding, etc., all of which I get to do about two or three times a year due to time constraints.
Professionally I have it made. I am living “the corporate dream” and recently found out I want to wake up.
I have a passion for life and plan to expound on it rather than ignore it as time goes by. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why we are doing this.
I’m a passionate person.
These are the things in my life that I’m incredibly passionate about and they make life worth living:
Health. Not just my physical health but my spirituality. This is the most important thing to me. I’m not talking religion (even though that seems to be a pretty good fix for a lot of people), I’m talking about my inner-self. For me its in my chest. Starting on the path towards minimalism has actually started to fill this void for me.
Leading People. My strongest desire in life is my desire to lead people. It is my ultimate passion. I take pleasure in making people happy and I love it when people reach out to me for advice or help. I enjoy contributing to others in a meaningful way.
Relationships. My friends, family (what’s left), and my girlfriend are immensely important to me.
Growth & Contribution. I truly love to learn. I never want to say I know it all. I love embarking on new experiences. I also love contributing to people in a meaningful way (see “Leading People” above), that is my mission in life.
