How Colours Affect Our Purchases

Here’s what I found interesting in the graphic:

NORTH AMERICAN SHOPPERS

Yellow: Optimistic and youthful, grabs the attention of window shoppers

Red: Energetic and creates an urgency like in clearance sales

Blue: Creates a sensation of trust and security and is often seen with banks or businesses

Green: Associated with wealth and is the easist colour for the eyes to process and relax with

Orange: Aggressive and creates a call to action to buy

EM: Compared to red, this is interesting that orange is seen as aggressive. I would have thought fresh or modern.

Pink: Romantic and feminine, used to make products for women and young girls

EM: I actually prefer purple or any other colour BUT true and sickly pinks. I like the pinks that are more red or more purple.

Black: Powerful and sleek and used to market luxury products

EM: I see black is sleek yes, but also dull and the colour of death and seriousness.

Where’s white? :) I know it’s the absence of colour but I suppose if it was used, it would be white on black, and black would be the “colour”.

Purple: Used to soothe and calm and seen in beauty or anti-aging products

Also, please ignore any bad grammar, I did not create this.
