I probably use more than most but I`ve found these exceptionally handy for blogging:
- Akismet: Stops spam in its tracks. You still see all of the spam that comes in.
- WP Site Stats: Good general view of referrers, visits and so on. Needs your WP Key.
- Broken Link Checker: Finds all your broken links and lets you know. Don`t hit `trash` accidentally.
- CommentLuv: T send link love back to your commenters with blogs! I`ve found great blogs this way.
- Contact Form 7: So that you don`t need to put your email address up for spammers to copy.
- Future Calendar: I post 10 – 24 months ahead of schedule, 3 times a week. This keeps me organized.
- Google XML Sitemaps Generator: So Google can find and index your blog better.
- IntenseDebate: It has its flaws but I love its benefits more than its cons for commenting.
- Ozh`Better Feed: It lets you customize your feed in ways you never thought existed.
- Lightbox 2: This won`t work on my other blog (Fabulously Broke), but it makes images look slick.
- SexyBookmarks: Makes cute social network icons pop up.
- TweetMeme: So people can tweet easily.
- Widget Context: Lets you display or hide your widgets based on rules like what page, what posts, etc
- WP Super Cache: Speeds up your WP blog by caching HTML pages to handle high traffic.
